Drawn by the UK’s diverse culture and advanced financial markets, she studied in the UK and engaged industry professionals. Barbara applies the knowledge, skills, and networks gained from Durham University to deliver innovative solutions within the pensions sector.

Cletus Baalongbuoro

A Ghanaian clean energy entrepreneur and founder of Ponaa Briquettes, a social enterprise converting agricultural waste into affordable clean cooking fuel in Northern Ghana. An MSc Energy Management graduate from the University of Stirling, UK, his work tackles deforestation, household air pollution, and rural unemployment through inclusive circular economy models. He has received multiple innovation and entrepreneurship awards for his impact.

Samuel Boakye Dapaah

Samuel Boakye Dapaah

A University of Dundee graduate whose work is transforming medical education in Ghana. He pioneered an innovation that converts paper waste into eco-friendly human anatomical mannequins for medical and healthcare training, reducing costs while supporting recycling and job creation. His UK education’s practical, problem-solving approach inspired an entrepreneurial pathway. Samuel is now expanding partnerships across Ghana and West Africa to scale affordable, sustainable learning tools regionally.

Eric Nana Takyi

Eric Nana Takyi

A healthcare leader transforming Kadjebi District, Ghana. As District Director of Health Services, he increased immunisation coverage to 97 percent, eliminated maternal mortality, and strengthened disease surveillance. He champions initiatives such as a pad bank supporting over 5,000 schoolgirls and promotes staff wellbeing through his “Comfort and Productivity” approach. Leveraging practical, inclusive leadership, Eric drives measurable health gains and earns national recognition

Mathew Amalitinga Abagna

Dr. Matthew Amalitinga Abagna

A Research Fellow at the Tax Justice Network and a development consultant specialising in international taxation and capacity-building for tax authorities in developing countries. He has led donor-funded livelihood and research programmes across Northern Ghana with NGOs. Dr. Abagna holds a PhD in Economics from University College Dublin and an MSc in Economics and Finance for Development from the University of Bradford and is a Chevening Scholar.

Maudlyn Akosua Awuku

Maudlyn Akosua Awuku

An award-winning gender and youth leadership advocate and Founder of Anijie Global Foundation, empowering over 60,000 young people through education, gender equality, and climate action. Her work has reshaped traditional leadership engagement and amplified African youth voices globally. Studying Project Management in the UK strengthened her strategic leadership and confidence. She is scaling her LEGIT leadership framework across West Africa to advance inclusive civic and political participation.

Famous Atitsogbe

Famous Atitsogbe works with the Marketing and Communications Division of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), supporting PR strategy, branding, and destination marketing to attract foreign direct investment into Ghana. He credits his UK education at Cardiff University with strengthening his research, analytical, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Famous now profiles investment opportunities across Ghana’s 16 regions to promote partnerships and economic growth.

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng

An award-winning Ghanaian journalist, public relations specialist, and creative arts analyst shaping national conversations on Ghana’s entertainment industry. She is Head of Public Relations at Burniton Music Group and spokesperson for the Ghana Music Awards Europe. Studying International Relations at Swansea University strengthened her strategic communication and global perspective, deepening her advocacy for creative arts as a tool for nation-building and youth development.

Robert Mensah Klah

Robert Mensah Klah

A strategic marketer, creative entrepreneur, and cultural advocate shaping Ghana’s creative economy. As Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse Ghana, he leads communications for major national platforms, including the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. He has institutionalised dance through: Dancetera, the Ghana DanceSport League, and the Ghana Dance Industry Awards, bridging policy, education, and creative enterprise to support a more sustainable creative sector in Ghana.

Dr. Claudia Mary Donkor

Dr. Claudia Mary Donkor

A Dermatologist and International Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) specialist, she leads life-saving sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (SRMNCAH) programmes in Syria, with prior leadership roles in Ghana and Somalia. Her work in both humanitarian and development settings strengthens health systems, expands access to quality, equitable SRMNCAH services, and supports health workers to reduce preventable maternal and newborn morbidities and mortalities.
