Prof (Mrs) Cynthia Amaning Danquah

Professor Cynthia Amaning Danquah

A Professor of Pharmacology and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She holds a PhD in Natural Product Drug Discovery from University College London and is a registered pharmacist. Her research focuses on natural product pharmacology, toxicology, and combating antimicrobial resistance, including tuberculosis. She collaborates internationally with the University of Oxford and is committed to mentoring young women into STEM careers.

Obed Kraine Boachie

An energy policy and regulation specialist at Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority, leading national efforts to expand LPG access and promote clean cooking. His work supports downstream petroleum reforms that improve public health and reduce reliance on wood fuels. Trained in the UK, Obed gained practical, industry-focused expertise integrating technology and energy systems, which he now applies to advancing Ghana’s energy transition and sustainable fuel adoption nationwide.
