Are you an international final-year student, recent graduate, or alumni? Study UK’s free online course, Preparing for Work, is running again from 14 June 2021.
This two-week course will provide you with the advice you need to communicate your UK education, skills and knowledge to prospective employers and navigate the global employment market. Based on expert advice from established alumni, careers counsellors and employers, the course will teach you how to evaluate your strengths, build your professional image, and articulate the value of your UK education.
By completing the course, you will learn how to write effective cover letters and CVs, prepare for interviews, and devise a career plan, in addition to finding and applying for jobs that match your skills and experience. You will also gain an understanding of important practical skills, such as building networks and working effectively across different cultural contexts.
There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with other, like-minded international graduates and alumni who are looking for job opportunities and want to develop themselves professionally. Our team of friendly educators will also be on hand to help you progress through the course with their expert knowledge. Why not introduce yourself and meet your fellow learners and educators on the online course by signing up now?
The course is free and takes only two weeks to complete, although by signing up, you can access the resources and complete it in your own time until 8 August 2021. Upon successful completion, you will receive a digital certificate.
As part of the course, Study UK will be running a Facebook Live event to help answer all your questions about navigating the global jobs market and how to make the most of the online course. Register your interest for the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/930216061091724/
