British Council Ghana is inviting applications for the Education UK Certificate for agents and School Counsellors. This course has been developed in the UK and rolled out in 25 countries. It aims to nurture and enable agents and school counsellors provide accurate information about education in the UK through their counselling and referral services.

The purpose of the course is to:

•Develop agents/counsellors capacity to work effectively with UK institutions 

•Improve knowledge and understanding of the UK as a study destination 

•Increase knowledge of UK study programmes 

•Enable agents/counsellors to acquire skills necessary to provide high quality relevant and trustworthy information, resources and services to students seeking international education 


Studying the course is beneficial in many ways including:

•The certificate* is recognised by UK institutions 

•It demonstrates to prospective students and parents that agents/counsellors are knowledgeable about their service

•Furthermore, it will enable agents/counsellors to access support more easily from the British Council in country and globally  

•It also keeps you abreast with developments in the UK education sector

Course Module


•On-line study module which takes approximately eight weeks to complete

•1 Face-to-face seminar 

•Mock assessment

•Final written assessment. 

•Presentation of certificates.


The cost of this quality offer is £400 per participant or equivalent in Ghana Cedis. Places are limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
